Monk for a reusable res protection and condition removal

Elemental for extra damage "my current secondary is R/E with points in fire.

There really isnt a bad secondary for the ranger but to use your pet to its maximum you will have little left over for other skills anyway.

Unless you use the pet as a distraction ie cannon fodder then you can spare the points for decent secondary support.

I recommend you make it a monk, for the condition removal. A popular build is the toucher when you make a R/Necro and use vampiric skills and running buffs to steal health from opponents, but that's mostly pvp.

And touchers are bad low-level pvp btw.
A pet is not very useful most of the time, so I suggest not using one most of the time.
For rangers, /mo is pretty useful, as long as you don't use healing prayers, basically only use mending touch.

Thats what I thought too. I'd rather be Warrior/Necro instead, but that was my choose in the first place. Thanks. ;D

Here's what I would tell you - you get 4 character slots w/ your first GW campaign - try out different primaries. Later on, you can change your secondary profession, so that's not as big of a decision.
